The entrance and gardens are in a tragic state, almost like they want to scare off guests. The wifi was practically non-existent, a major inconvenience. Considering my exquisite taste, I expected a room upgrade as compensation for these dismal amenities but was utterly let down. I almost thought about giving a good review, but just couldn't.

Charming antique decor, lovely swimming pool, gorgeous garden
Weak WiFi connectivity is frustrating!!! Access is tricky without a car, could deter some guests!!! Inconsistent cleaning standards are concerning!!! Noise from other guests disrupts the tranquility!!!

The chateau feels magical, especially with its enchanting towers. My kids really enjoyed our spacious room and the elegant decor. We also took advantage of nearby kayaking, perfect for our adventurous family. Dinner was a good French feast with a Swedish twist.
My kids wished for a little play area.

We had a wonderful overnight stay at Chateau De La Motte. The hosts treated us as guests, not customers, and the dinner was delicious and great value. The owners are renovating the chateau to a high standard and even installed USB charging points, which we hadn't seen anywhere else in France. The breakfast was fantastic and the bedroom had a very comfortable bed. Liliane and Henrik, the perfect hosts, made our stay memorable and we wish we could have stayed longer.
Would recommend this hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming hotel in the French countryside. The location, nestled between two picturesque towers, provided a unique and enchanting atmosphere. The attention to detail throughout the hotel was evident, from the carefully chosen furniture and drapes to the elegant objets d'art that adorned the rooms. The rooms themselves were spacious and comfortable, offering a lovely view of the garden. Additionally, the breakfast provided a delightful combination of French pastries and local cheeses, ensuring a satisfying start to the day.
All was perfect, no improvements needed.

All was just perfect.

The hosts, Henrik and Liliane, were so chill and made us feel like family. We had a blast kayaking in the nearby river, living our best water adventure life! The pool was dope too, perfect for cooling off after all the fun. Can't wait to go back and party it up again!
If there was one thing that could've been better, it would've been having a sick party spot at the hotel. Like, imagine a sick dance floor or a sick DJ spinning the hottest beats.
